Bladder Accumulators are hydropneumatic accumulators with a flexible bladder. The gas and oil side are separated by this bladder.
HYDAC bladder accumulators consist of a welded or forged pressure vessel, an accumulator bladder and valves at the gas and the fluid connection.
In addition to the standard construction, special constructions are possible, especially for applications for very high flow rates (e.g. up to 100 l/s) or pressures (e.g. up to 1,000 bar).

Diaphragm Accumulators

Diaphragm accumulators are hydropneumatic accumulators with a flexible diaphragm, to separate the compressible gas section and the fluid section. HYDAC offers more than 30 different types of diaphragm accumulator and more than 300 different fluid connections. In addition, HYDAC diaphragm accumulators are produced both in a welded form and a threaded form, using different types of steel, elastomers and gas connections

Piston accumulators are hydropneumatic accumulators with a floating piston to separate the compressible gas section and the fluid section.
HYDAC piston accumulators consist of a cylinder with very finely machined internal surface, with threaded end caps on the gas and fluid side, and a piston with special sealing systems. Piston accumulators can be flexibly adapted to customer requirements due to variable diameters and volumes.

Hydraulic Dampers

Hydraulic dampers from HYDAC include pulsation dampers, suction flow stabilisers, shock absorbers and silencers. However, standard bladder, piston and diaphragm accumulators are equally suitable as dampers. HYDAC dampers consist generally of bladder, piston or diaphragm accumulators, which may or may not be fitted with flow-dampening manifolds. Suction flow stabilisers and silencers are based on different design principles. Instead of a bladder/diaphragm, special types of construction, e.g. metal bellows accumulators, use a metal bellows to separate gas and oil side. Therefore they are available as virtually gas-tight dampers. HYDAC supplies hydraulic dampers in volumes from 0.075 up to 400 litres and above.

HYDAC supports are used to mount all types of hydraulic accumulator safely and simply, irrespective of the mounting position. Clamps, consoles and complete accumulator sets are available.

The supports are designed for static use. For dynamic stresses, specially designed clamps are available on request.

HYDAC have a range of accessories and test equipment are a useful extension to the HYDAC accumulator product range, to guarantee correct installation and maintenance. HYDAC's accumulator accessories range includes safety devices, nitrogen bottles for the back-up types of bladder and piston accumulators.

The charging and testing unit FPU-1 is used to charge accumulators with nitrogen or to check or to change the existing pre-charge pressure in accumulators. For this purpose the charging and testing unit is screwed onto the gas valve of the hydraulic accumulator and connected to a commercial nitrogen bottle via a flexible charging hose. If the nitrogen pressure is only to be checked or reduced, the charging hose does not need to be connected. The unit has a screw-type fitting with a built-in gauge, check valve and a spindle for opening the accumulator gas valve to control the pressure.

 The HYDAC N2 Server range includes mobile, portable and stationary units. They are used for charging accumulators, for pre-charging or for topping up accumulator stations. A HYDAC piston accumulator is installed as the nitrogen pump and an end position switch ensures that the piston displacement is fully utilised. The units are equipped with a pressure safety valve which complies with safety regulations (UVV).
