Contamination Sensor CS 2000 series

The CS 2000 Contamination Sensor series is designed for continuous use in test stands/rigs, lubrication systems and critical hydraulic systems in which dynamic trending of solid contaminants is required. At the heart of this sensor developed for stationary use is the field-tested, patented sensor technology of the FCU 2000 series. Aqua Sensor
|
The AquaSensors enable the continuous monitoring of the water content of hydraulic and lubrication fluids. The water content relative to the saturation concentration is measured via the saturation level. Once it reaches 100 % (saturation point) the fluid cannot absorb any more water. Consequently, the water content should be maintained substantially below the saturation point. HYDAC recommends a saturation level of less than 45 % in all systems. WaterTest Kit WTK

The Water Test Kit is used for the quantitative analysis of water content in percent by volume of mineral and lubricating oils. Adding two reagents to the contaminated oil causes an increase in pressure in the measuring cell. This pressure increase can be read off the digital display as water content in percent by volume or ppm. Measurement ranges selectable: 0.02...1 %; 0...10 %: 0...20 % and 200...10,000 ppm |
Fluid Analysis Set FAS

Fluid Analysis Set featuring an electric vacuum pump and filtration unit to laboratory standard the Fluid Analysis Set (FAS) is used to produce contamination monitors from oil samples. The reference photographs enable a quick evaluation of fluid contamination (cleanliness class rating). A microscope (not supplied) can be used to determine the type of particle and thus its origin in the hydraulic system. Precision scales (not supplied) can be used to determine the gravimetric contamination content of the fluid. |

Measuring Microscope The microscope is mainly used to display and measure particles on filter membranes of oil samples. Focussing is achieved using the coarse and fine adjustment knobs. Optical equipment: achromatic lenses with 4:1; 10:1 and 20:1 magnification. The lenses are mounted on a rotating holder. A CCD colour camera system is available for image processing on a PC. |
Fluid Sampling Set FES

Sampling Systems Taking samples in a correct and consistent manner is key to obtaining representative results when these samples are later analysed in the laboratory. Whether you require static or dynamic sampling, HYDAC's Fluid Sampling Set (FES) provides the right tool for the job. The static sampler is used for taking samples from system tanks. By creating a vacuum in the precleaned sample bottle, the fluid is extracted at the required tank level. For a representative investigation of stray particles in the hydraulic system dynamic sampling is preferred. The required sample volume is taken from a pressure line. |

CoCoS Professional enables the FCU and CS to be operated in a user-friendly environment. Measurement values can be displayed online in table or graph format. Measurement logs can be transferred and processed. In addition, long-term analyses can be performed and professional reports created. When combined with the FCU and CS, CoCoS provides an efficient tool for the continuous monitoring of fluid quality. |

Contamination Test Unit CTU 2000 series

HYDAC's CTU is a specially designed test stand for analysing the surface cleanliness of components. These components undergo rinsing in a defined clean environment using an analysis fluid with a defined cleanliness. The findings produced by evaluating the analysis fluid provide information on the type, size and mass of contamination. These findings are the basic prerequisite for detecting damage and thus introducing countermeasures to the process chain in good time (e.g. improved filtration, transportation, storage, etc.).
